 LITO HERNANDEZ

New York born and California bred, this performer brings with him over fourteen years of hip-hop dance and various other professional performing arts experiences.  He has graced the stage at many awards shows and other various events featuring him such as the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center and nationally televised Super Bowl feature performer appearances.  He is a  hip-hop dance instructor at Tampa Gymnastics and Dance who’s classes are so popular, according to the St. Petersburg Times, students “count the days” between classes because his choreography is so fierce! This energetic choreographer brings a surprisingly old school feel that is perfectly mixed with a new age hip-hop flavor.  He is also a step and co-ed cheerleading all-star champion.

DREAMA DAVIDSON

Life revolves around the stage for Dreama Davidson. With numerous accomplishments to validate her work in the performing arts, she has choreographed and performed with many national acts to include Pop Artist Brooke Hogan, R&B singers Musiq Soulchild, Brandy Norwood, Montell Jordan, Yashi, Diversity 3 and Mystere as well as Rap Artist Jada Kiss.. just to name a few. She is the dance Captain and feature lead actress in the Broadway style musical “Katonga” at Busch Gardens theme parks, and has performed alongside NFL Pro Cheerleaders in a variety of performances throughout the bay area. With over 24 years of experience, her dance career has proven to be on track for undeniable success! She is a jazz and hip-hop instructor at New Tampa Dance Theatre, and is the creative director for VYB Dance Company. Currently represented by the world renowned dance agency Bloc, Dreama’s professional dance experiences are quite impressive.  She has strengthened her craft under the direction of  some of the industry’s  greatest, most creative producers and choreographers to include, Fatima Robinson(Janet Jackson,Aaliyah,Black Eyed Peas), Dave Scott(You got Served), Tina Landon(Janet Jackson,J.Lo,Christina Aguilera), Don Holder, Wade Robson(SYTYCD,Britney Spears, NSYNC), Brian Friedman(SYTYCD,Pink,Prince), Elaine College, Nancy Hutson, Glenn Packard Douglas and Lucid Dreams Entertainment.

LIMBERT CAPELLAN

This SUPER-talented dancer and choreographer beings phenomenal accolades to this year’s convention!  He was a semi-finalist contestant on season three of Fox’s smash hit “So You Think You Can Dance” and attended the Las Vegas week-long auditions making it to the top 20 boys. Limbert has also had the unique opportunity to be a featured back-up dancer for several recording artists such as Disney recording artists Alli & AJ, The Cheetah Girls, PYT, Sting & Stix. He has also appeared on the Spanish television network Univision in "El show de Cristina".  Limbert is the choreographer for the H.W.Blake high school Sting dance team, All American Dance Factory in Tampa, FL, VYB dance company and for shows at Busch Gardens, Tampa. He has participated as a dancer and choreographer in many competitions which have earned him top awards on regional and national levels.   He has performed for Disney World, Busch Gardens Theme Parks, Sea World, Super Bowl XXXV and numerous theatre productions and cruiselines.

Limbert will be this year’s Technical Jazz instructor at  Boot Camp Dance!

GRACE ALBRITTON

Grace brings to Boot Camp Dance talents in Pro cheerleading, collegiate dance and cheerleading, African, ballet, character, hip hop, jazz and modern dance which have all made her a noted dancer in the Tampa Bay area as well as nationally. Winner of Miss Teen Fitness, Grace is a powerhouse performer. She has been seen on the NFL and AFL sidelines as both a Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleader Co-Captain and Tampa Bay Storm Cheerleader. Miss Albritton has also performed as a co-ed University of South Florida Cheerleader and was a lead staff member for national Elite Cheerleading Camp tours. Her national performance accolades include Super Bowl XXV halftime show, R&B vocalist Avant back up dancer, AAU Junior Olympics performer and Donde Dole African Company. Grace is a featured lead performer for the Busch Gardens stage production “Katonga” and was recently named Special Events Choreographer and trainer for the Busch Gardens dancer cast. In 2007 she received a magnificent honor as she was named IAAPA award (International Association of Amusement Parks) Award recipient. She was selected as outstanding performer for all theme parks internationally.

WOODROW WALTON

Woodrow Walton is a native of the Cayman Islands and has been immersed in the dance culture since the age of five. Woodrow has performed and choreographed for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Walt Disney World, The Elsa Pardo Dance Company, Atelier of Dance Company, Local Theater Companies, Jackie Ball’s School of dance, local dance and cheerleading teams. He has also choreographed half time and pre game shows for the Outback Bowl/Hall of Fame Bowl, NFL, MLS, NCAA Basketball and Football games, Various High School Marching Bands and the award winning Tampa Gymnastics and Dance Showstar Performance Teams.

He has trained in the areas of Tap, Jazz, Classical Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Lyrical, Drill Team, Musical Theater, Acrobatics, Cheerleading and Choreography on  national and international levels. He has trained under such teachers as Joe Tremaine, Judith Jamison, Alvin Ailey Summer Intensive, John Parks, Frank Hatchett, Barry Youngblood, Elsa Pardo, Jackie Balls, Joffery Ballet Summer Intensive, Sandra Sears, Hinton Battles Studio, Rhee Gold, Rennie Gold.His performances include such musicals as “A Chorus Line”, “Grease”, “Broadway Revue”,  “A…. My Name is Alice ”, “Into The Woods”. Woodrow has performed in such ballets as: “Alladdin”, “Four Seasons”, “Coppelia”, “Romeo & Julliet”, “12 Dancing Princess”, “Variations from Nutcracker”, and “Sleeping Beauty”.He attributes his career to his family, friends, teachers, and the love of dance and theater.

Woodrow will be this year’s Field Jazz instructor at Boot Camp Dance!

MELISSA SADLER

Melissa is a Business Management major at the University of South Florida and a second year Captain of the USF Sundolls dance team. As Captain, she leads her team on the field at Raymond James stadium in Tampa for all home games, at the USF Sundome during basketball contests as well as at other televised events such as the 2009 Big East Men’s Basketball Tournament in New York City. Melissa is also instrumental in the facilitation of Sundolls summer dance programs and other Sundolls efforts on campus as well as in the community. She currently graces the stage as a working dancer in the Busch Gardens show, “Katonga” and is a featured dancer in a current Busch Gardens national commercial campaign. She has many years of competitive dance experience while serving as Captain of her award winning high school dance team, the Seminole Dazzlers.  Her many dance experiences have taught her how to be self motivated, and encourages her to motivate those around her to breathe and dance through every moment and musical note life plays.

Melissa will be this year's Grandstand pom co-instructor at Boot Camp Dance!

CHELSEA SWEET

Chelsea brings collegiate star quality to this year’s Boot Camp Dance. As a member of the University South Florida Sundolls, Chelsea has performed for over 65,000 fans at Raymond James stadium. As a Senior officer for the nationally ranked high school dance team, the Seminole Dazzlers of Sanford Florida, Chelsea earned the distinction of Universal Dance Association All-star.  Also a competitive cheerleader champion with various all-star cheer teams, Chelsea is truly multitalented.  She has been a member of judges’ panels for a variety of dance auditions and competitions for various organizations. Her dance background includes ballet, tap, jazz, modern, high kick, pom, military, prop, and hip hop at various studios in Michigan and Florida.  She is currently a Biomedical Sciences major at the University of South Florida. Pom is one of her favorite dance styles along with choreographing routines that promote school spirit and getting the crowd pumped up.

Chelsea is very excited to be a co-instructor for the Grandstand Pom class at this year’s Boot Camp Dance!

MELISSA VALDEZ FITZGERALD

Melissa started dancing at the tender age of 2 ½ - yes – that early!  At that early age, she spotted the most glamorous women in the world on television – the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.  From that moment, she knew her destiny was to wear those white boots.  Throughout her early and teenage years, Melissa competed for and won national awards with DCC’s own Kitty Carter and her competition group, performed with the Fort Worth City Ballet, and trained with various choreographers including Desiree Robbins, and Jackie Sleight. During her senior year in high school, Melissa made her dream a reality and auditioned for the DCC.  Out of 1000 girls, she made it to training camp and was immediately selected as a member of the prestigious Show Group and was a featured dancer.  With the DCC, Melissa performed in USO/DOD tours, national and local television commercials and shows, cheered in Super Bowl XXX, and performed with Jessica Simpson, Creed, and Wayne Newton among others. Melissa was a Group Leader, Veteran of the Year and a Pro Bowl Cheerleader in her 6 years with the team.  In 2003, Melissa followed her heart and passion and moved to San Francisco, CA .She was selected as a member of the San Francisco 49ers Goldrush.  After 2 years, she was offered the position of Assistant Director for the Goldrush.  She has choreographed and taught for the DCC, Goldrush, Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders, Oklahoma City Thunder Dancers, multiple dance troupes, soloists, and gymnastics teams and continues to study dance.  Melissa is married to ESPN Producer, Shawn and lives in Tampa, FL, where she continues to follow her passion for sports working for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Melissa will be this year’s Prop instructor at Boot Camp Dance!

 

CHIVONNE HYPPOLITE

Chivonne Hyppolite is a Boston native who currently resides in Tampa, Florida. Had it not been for her birth certificate identifying a hospital as her place of birth, you would  have thought that she was born on a stage. Chivonne has been performing since the tender age of three. She has an extensive dance background in ballet, jazz, hip hop, theater and the art of stepping.  Chivonne has coordinated and choreographed many step shows. She has also served as the Captain and lead Choreographer of several different step teams throughout the community in high school and college. She is an alumni of the University of South Florida, where she pledged the Kappa Iota Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated.

As an active member of Tampa Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, this vibrant performer has stepped professionally for the past five years. More recently, Chivonne has competed in various step competitions such as the 2009 Delta Sigma Theta Southern Regional Conference Step Show; where her team won first place and will go on to compete in the 2010 Delta Sigma Theta National Convention. Her home chapter  holds the title of sorority Greek Extravaganza Winners for five years in a row.

RONETTE WOOD

Ronette Wood brings to the convention this year over 27 years of dance industry experience as well as a wide array of leadership experiences to this year’s convention that she will reveal in the spectacular seminar, “For Team Leaders ONLY- Effective leadership”. Her professional dance and cheerleading experiences include cheerleader/dancer positions with the NFL(Tampa Bay Buccaneers), AFL(Tampa Bay Storm), AIFA and NIFL(Lakeland Thunderbolts) professional football organizations, MLB(Tampa Bay Rays), ABA(Tampa Bay Strong Dogs), and XFC(Xtreme Fighting Campionships). She's also performed for Walt Disney World, EPCOT and Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. As a dance instructor for Universal Dance Association, she had the opportunity to share her amazing talents with high school dancers nationally, and has instructed at other various dance camps throughout her career. Miss Wood was named Captain of her dance line while attending Performing Arts High School in Maryland. While attending the University of Central Florida, she also was named captain of the dance team. Leadership is a common thread for her endeavors as currently she is the Diamond Director for USANA Health Sciences. SYLVIA KELSEY- RUSSELL

With almost 20 years as a professional stylist, Sylvia has truly set her mark in the field of beauty.  Don’t miss her cutting edge seminar, “Hair and Make-up MAGIC!” Sylvia has worked as a freelance stylist, educator, and makeup artist for many entertainers and celebrities, for TV, print and video.  Sylvia has also worked as beauty correspondent for the nationally syndicated morning show “The Daytime Show” as the ‘Daytime Diva’, in Tampa Florida . It’s no surprise that Sylvia would showcase her talents with the Former Super Bowl Champions the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleaders, Former Xtreme Football league in Orlando, Florida, and was asked to lend her expertise to the "Ultimate guide to becoming a Pro Cheerleader".  She has served in many capacities aiding in the betterment of cheerleaders on many levels. As a wife and mother of three, it is Sylvia’s passion for beauty that keeps her busy and willing to give her time where ever needed. Kindra Strocher Ebanks

Kindra, a Tampa native, has been involved with cheerleading and dance for over 20 years and will be sharing her expertise with coaches at this year's Boot Camp Dance seminar, "Coaches Corner".The majority of her dance experience comes from many years of technical training, competing and performing with a local studio. Growing up in Tampa , Kindra’s desire to continue performing during college led her to the Tampa Bay Storm. After dancing for the Storm herself, Kindra took on the role as Director in the championship year of 2003.

While Directing the Storm Dancers, Kindra was selected by the AFL to be Co Director and Choreographer for the ArenaBowl XVII All-Star Dancers in 2004 and also for the Aaron’s AFL Dream Team at ArenaBowl XIX in 2005. From 2002-2006 Kindra served as the assistant coach for the nationally ranked University of South Florida dance team, the SunDolls.

Hip Hop I (Beg/Int.)

Participants will learn popular hip hop choreography that can be used on most any stage. Wow your crowd with Lito’s unique style of choreography at your next performance and surely you’ll get an encore!

Hip Hop II (Int./Adv.)

Dreama’s unique style will be sure to be a crowd pleaser! Participants will learn from an instructor who knows what it takes to dance behind the likes of Brooke Hogan, Musiq Soulchild and many other national stages! This hip hop class will challenge it’s participants to show true hip hop swagger... or should we say "swagga"?!

Technical Jazz

More technically charged, this class will challenge the participant to utilize traditional jazz technique fusing it with innovative choreography taught by season three’s So You Think You Can Dance Top 20 alum, the brilliant  Limbert Capellan.

Pom

(All levels)

Face paced and sharp, this class will be full of exciting pom choreography that translates to most stages to include pep rallies, football and basketball games or onto the competition stage. Participants will have the unique opportunity to learn from Grace Albritton, an accomplished performer and former NFL, AFL and Collegiate Co-Ed cheerleader.

Field Jazz

(All Levels)

Participants will learn traditional jazz choreography to include high kicks, turns and leaps. This “field jazz” course will be  choreography that can be utilized in a variety of performances including on the football field.  Session A Routine(Beg./Int), Session B (Adv.)

Grandstand Pom

(All Levels)

Get the crowd pumped! Led by veteran members of the University of South Florida Sundolls, this is a high energy class that will consist of choreography sure to get the crowd excited! Participants will learn pom choreography that can be used on the sidelines as well as “seated” choreography that can be used in the bleacher grandstands.

Step

This unique dance style is popular among many fraternities and sororities nationwide! Alex brings intricate and unique choreography to this class where participants will learn the basics of step choreography, and will learn dynamic routines SURE to bring down the house!

Prop

(All levels)

Choreography incorporating a prop will be taught in this class. Elements of jazz will also be utilized. Don't miss this opportunity to learn from Melissa, a former NFL Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers Gold Rush Cheerleader! Sass+Props+amazing choreo= BCD Prop Class!
