Haines City Florida set the stage for this annual pro golf event, focused on raising monies that directly benefit the Deputy Matt Williams fund.Hosted annually by Wayne Gandy, defensive tackle for the NFL Atlanta Falcons,the weekend was kicked off with a golf tournament held on Friday, April 18, 2008, followed by a youth football and cheerleading clinic on Saturday. Players consisting of business professionals and community leaders in the tournament were paired with NFL players and other sports industry professionals to include  Hines Ward, Jerome Bettis and Deshay Townsend of the Super Bowl champion Pittsburg Steelers, in addition to Jamal Lewis, Aaron Brooks, Deuce McAllister, Joe Horn, Takeo Spikes and many others. These annual events are held at the beautiful Ridgewood LakesGolf Course and Cook Field respectively. CGE cast members are special invited guests of Wayne Gandy to facilitate cheer clinics and act as hosts during the golf tourney.
